Combi Nord AG was founded in 2004 with the business purpose of “constructing and managing railway terminals”.

The majority shareholder of the company is Italcombi AG, which even before the founding of Combi Nord completed the preliminary work required in order to reopen the Grasstein railway station north of Franzensfeste that had been mothballed for years and establishing it as a loading terminal for South Tyrol. (Trentino Alto-Adige region)
